Walking in the thought of God for You!

”For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, the thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end” – Jeremiah 29:11

When you were much younger, you realised that you had little to worry about. As a child, you never had to bother yourself about what food to eat, what cloth to wear or what shoes to wear. You just know within you that Daddy and Mummy will provide you with all these. Deep within your heart you knew that your parents care for you and will ensure that you were okay no matter the situation. But as you were growing you begin to notice the condition of your parent and after realising that they may not be able to carter for all your needs, you began to look for alternative means of helping yourself by looking for a place to do some menial jobs. This can be the situation of a child who realises that his/her parent are not well to do. But this scenario is not true for a child who grow to realise that his/her parent are well to do. This child in his/her heart knows that his parent can provide everything and does not need to struggle.

Yes you belong to your earthly parents but much more importantly you belong to the Almighty God who is not limited in resources neither is he limited in wisdom. God is your originator. He created the universe and everything belong to him. God is so great and owns everything. He owns you. You are not your own. He has good plans for you.

Things may not be rosy now and this may have pushed you to ask questions like: if truly God has good plans for me, why then am I in this condition. If God promised to give me my expected end, why then am I not having things as planned. The answer is timing!

There is a timing for every activity on earth. The fact that there is a timing for everything does not mean you have no part to play. In your waiting, you need to pray and engage in other productive activities. As a lady waiting on God for a life partner you need to get busy adding value to your life. Don’t be static in your waiting. Rather be dynamic in your waiting.

I’ve come to realise that many unmarried ladies who are of marriageable age render themselves useless. I mean you see frustration all over her. All she says and think about is ‘I want to get married’. Dear sister, your waiting period is your learning period. Learn and relearn. Relearn and learn. Men are looking for assets this days and not a liability.

Let positive thinking be your obsession as you are waiting. Speak the word of God consistently and you realise that your life is gradually taking a new turn. Tell yourself that you know that God is working out things for your good. And as you do this, testimony shall be your end result in Jesus name.
